Manuel Antonio

This past weekend I headed to Manuel Antonio. Es mi segundo tiempo! I love Manuel Antonio because the water is so clear and the nature is so rich. My favorite part of Manuel Antonio is the national park. The National Park has many trails to walk through. Within the trails one gets to see monos, lizards, and other animals. The flora and fauna are so rich and nutritious. What I love the most though are the lookout points within the hikes, the views are breathtaking!

The whole group traveled to Manuel Antonio and  we stayed at Vista Serena, this is the same hostel I stayed at last time with the previous group. The hostel is very tranquila and safe. They have a security guard out all night watching the premises. The whole group stayed up late getting to know one another and playing card games, fue muy divertida.

(I'm kind of writing out of order but you will all get the gist of what I am trying to say).
We left Friday at 6 in the morning! That meant we were up by 5am heading over to the bus station. We arrived at Manuel Antonio around 9:30am and we quickly headed over to the National Park. Some people at the National Park chose to relax on the beach all day while a couple of us went for a hike and explored the other beaches. Hiking through Manuel Antonio is very easy because the paths are cleared and usually are cemented.

Around 3pm we left the park and headed back to eat dinner. We ate a famous restaurant that had an airplane in the middle of the restaurant. The airplane was flown over from the US in pieces and then reconstructed in Costa Rica. I'm not sure why it came to Costa Rica, but it's used at the restaurant for exterior appeal.

The night was fun, we all played card games and talked.
The next morning we woke up around 9am and headed to the public beach around 10am. We decided to relax the rest of the day and enjoy the sun. Some of us headed back earlier (me) around 2pm to San Jose. Once I got back to my homestay I went straight to bed, the sun can really drain ones energy.

Next stop Tortuguero...
